Lane Bryant's Commercial that was Banned

Hey Beauties,

I just ran across this on my AOL ticker and was very disappointed. Long story short Lane Bryant, one of my favorite stores, created a commercial for their CACIQUE Lingerie line. IF you don't know, CACIQUE is the most comfortable, sexy, luxurious, and stylish line of plus size lingerie that I've ever seen. For once a company actually makes matching bra and panty combination's that don't look like 12th century! So, FOX refused to play the commercial during the "American Idol" and "Dancing with the Stars" show. Claiming that there was too much "Cleavage" showing. I want to know what you think... to me this commercial looks like a Victoria's Secret or Playtex or any other lingerie commercial that is aired during prime-time slots. What's the big deal?

Check it out for yourself and let me know what you think! Oh, by the way... Lane Bryant is having a sweepstakes for a new wardrobe! I'll be entering! You should too! Here's the commercial!

2010 Wedding Dress Trends

We always hear that plus size women should not do trends... I disagree! If you're a trendsetting fashionista why cheat yourself on your wedding day. Here are the top trends from 2010 for wedding gowns. As always, I've included some photos of the trends done the right way on a real body.

1. Trumpet Silhouette- I called the trumpet silhouette the "Va Va Voom" dress. If you're wanting to steal the show and walk down the aisle like it's a runway... go trumpet. This is not for the timid bride. This trend is done right on a Fully Beautiful Bride when the fit is perfect! Don't shy away from alterations... they make the dress look all the better!

2. A line Skirts- You can NEVER go wrong with Aline. Think classic, elegant, and timeless. More often than not the Aline is the choice for all brides of all sizes. I've never seen it done wrong! If you like the Aline, but think it's predictable and boring... add trend and pizazz with accessories. Or for an edgy Aline consider out of the box details like flowers, a unique neckline or unexpected skirt. Like the dress below from Mori Lee ( Julietta Line).

3. Glittering Belts- They can be done! I love glittering belts because gives the dress a little oomph without overbearing the bride. You can make it stunningly simple and still get the "ooh's and ahhh's." The trick to glittering belts is going to be where the belt hits on your waist. Take the length of your torso into consideration as well as the width of your hips. My suggestion if you do a glittering belt keep the rest of the detail on the dress minimal to none. I like the way David's Bridal adds sophistication to this dress with just a little bling!

4. One Shoulder- First Lady Obama... set the bar! One shoulder gowns are perfect for creating a gorgeous neckline. Proud of your upper body and want to draw attention to it? Go for the one shoulder! This look instantly draws the eye to the face. If you're wearing heirloom jewelry you'd like to show off... this would be a great selection. The other great thing about one shoulder gowns is the silhouette can be any shape that flatters you. It will look great paired with any skirt and any material. This is the winner neckline for me!

5. Organza Detail- Organza ... flows, light, and airy...definitely makes me think of long walks on the beach. Great for a fully beautiful bride because it has movement! Don't feel like being stuffy on your wedding day? Consider a gown with organza detailing. It's gaining popularity with tiers, boleros, and bodices. This trend works great with a carefree but still elegant wedding. No strict rules on this one... just don't overdo it! Too much organza can look gauzy and like a pixie fairy!!Here's a great dress by Kellan J
